Global Logistics Emissions Council meeting - 2 October

Smart Freight Centre is hosting the third annual US meeting of the Global Logistics Emissions Council on October 2nd. Open to both members and non-members, this one-day meeting will share the practical experience from companies using the GLEC Framework to track greenhouse gas emissions from rail, road, air and sea transport both in direct operations and in the supply chain. We will also discuss how the uptake of the Framework within CDP's reporting platform and the Science-Based Targets initiative. This meeting is open to industry and stakeholders of all experience levels who are interested in learning more about how logistics emissions can be tracked and reduced.

International Green Freight Program meeting - 3 October

The US Environmental Protection Agency, International Council on Clean Transportation, and Smart Freight Centre are co-hosting this one-day meeting focused on the current status and future expansion of Green Freight Programs worldwide. Part update and part roundtable discussion, the goal of this meeting is to better understand how green freight programs can evolve to maximize efficiency and support emission reductions of global supply chains. Representatives from multinational companies, SmartWay members and other stakeholders are invited to attend to share their view of how green freight programs can contribute to a more sustainable freight future.
